Straighten about 6 inches of wire and thread it through the inlet guide, over the drive roller, and into the gun liner.

Remove the nozzle and contact tip from the gun before pulling the trigger to feed the wire through; this prevents the wire from catching on the tip during initial loading. Powermate 70 features simplified controls for ease of use:

Place the spool on the spindle so the wire feeds from the bottom toward the drive system. Feeding the Wire: Open the drive roll pressure arm.

Close the pressure arm and set the tension so the wire feeds smoothly without slipping or tangling.
